On Sunday, October 13th, 40 people of all ages participated in the first Ride With Us, Montpelier, Community Bike Ride with the youngest cyclist being five years old. The weather turned out to be perfect for a bike ride around Montpelier.

Sonny Batten and Justin Morris headed up the event with the goals of getting families and individuals outside riding bikes and also raising money for Brody Gillihan, a little boy who suffers from a traumatic brain injury. In the last couple of weeks, the Ride with Us event has raised $600 for the Gillihan family.
Corbin Batten won the Brody bike raffling and JoJo Napier and Bryn-lee Barnell were the recipients of bikes donated by Casey Massey and Silver Burch. The Ride With Us season is about over for this year, but next year there are plans for more community bike rides in Montpelier.
