Police Chief

Chris began his career with the City of Montpelier Police Department in October of 1994 as a reserve officer under the administration of Mayor Kenneth Neff. In 1996, he was appointed reserve Captain: a position he held until he received his appointment as a full-time patrolman in April of 1997, under the administration of Mayor Bill Krebbs. In January of 2004, Chris was appointed Assistant Chief by Mayor Jim McPherson, which he held until his appointment as Chief of Police in 2012 by Mayor Kathy Bantz. He continues as Chief of Police under the current administration of Mayor Brad Neff.
