Many people in our community love Montpelier and take pride in the appearance of our city and our parks. On Saturday, July 13th, around 20 volunteers came to the park to give the airplane a much-needed coat of paint.

Painting the Airplane at Baldwin Park

The day turned out to be a typically hot July day, which made the airplane surface hot and the painters perspire. Individuals, couples, and families all came together to paint the airplane because they wanted to do their part to help improve our park. A big thank you to the volunteers who painted the airplane on such a hot day and also to City Counselman, Gary Cagle, for instructing the crew.

Further, Cam Bonewit and his city crew have been working hard to update and improve our parks. Of course, there is more to be done, but many of the projects are waiting for grant money.
