Bike riders of all ages came out for the first Ride with Us event in Montpelier this summer. Originally created by Sonny Batten and Justin Morris, the aim of Ride With Us community rides is to get families and individuals outside riding bikes together.
This year community bike rides will take place in Montpelier throughout the summer on alternating weekends with Hartford City. Shaina Roberts, Abby Michael, and Kasey Rinker will be heading up the rides for Montpelier.
The first ride of the year saw 48 participants, along with a police escort, courtesy of Chief Chris Snyder who kept the roads safe for the crowd of bikes. Water was provided by The Flip Flop and popsicles were donated by Positive Energy Café to keep riders hydrated and cool. If you missed this ride, plan to join in on the next one!
