Montpelier has some creative people in the community. This summer, art classes were offered in our city park.

Painting in the Park

In June, Cindy Robbins taught the Pottery in the Park class in which each person created a pot representing themselves. In July, Lydia Smith taught Painting in the Park in which individuals used their creative skills to paint watercolor pictures.

Both classes had a good turnout by filling the park shelter with young-at-heart students between the ages of six to 80+.

The classes in the park were a little more challenging since the students had to deal with the elements of wind, rain, and heat, but the budding artists enjoyed using their creative skills to produce their works of art. A big thank you to the art instructors and students who made the classes in the park successful.
